St. James flaunts three 18-hole courses, The Gauntlet Club, The Players Club and The Members Club.

With the addition of the 18-hole Players Club course in 1997, St. James upped its golf inventory to 63 holes of world-class coastal golf. Residents who choose to take advantage of the "Premier Club Membership" will have access to all three courses with no additional greens fees. The award-winning 18-hole Gauntlet Club course features the highest slope rating of any course on the Grand Strand.

The Hale Irwin Signature Course at the Members Club is complemented by an 8,000-square-foot clubhouse, which has a restaurant, bar & grill and fitness center. There's also a new year-round swim club, clay tennis courts, and an additional nine holes of golf. Real Estate

A selection of homesites, single-family custom homes, patio homes, condominiums, and townhomes are available. Prices for homes range from $225,000 to over $1 million. Homesites range from $40,000 to more than $400,000. St. James provides complete design services, including scheduling consultations with architects and builders.

Custom Homes: Choose from a wide variety of quality-built custom designs, ranging from traditional colonials to Carolina plantation homes to Cape Cod contemporaries. These spacious single-family homes offer many features, and start in the $220,000's.

Patio Homes: In the Georgetown community, you'll find a selection of patio homes surrounded by landscaped courtyards. These low-maintenance two- and three-bedroom homes range from 1,300 to 1,650 square feet, and are priced from the mid $180,000s.

Condominiums: These low-maintenance condos are ideal for the weekenders. They offer excellent living space, plus a built-in apartment for guests. Condos start in the $130,000s.Homesites: Premium single-family homesites are available in a variety of locations. Choose from fairway lots, wooded settings or waterfront sites on the Intracoastal Waterway. Homesites are priced from the mid-$50,000's and up. There is a plan for more homesites to be made available at the new Regency Park.

Miscellaneous

Surrounded by salt marshes and bordered by the Intracoastal Waterway is St. James' new Marina Village. The marina is a protected, full-service, deep-water access marina on the Intracoastal Waterway with 155 wet slips and an equal number of dry slips. The marina eight feet deep at low tide with floating docks. Approximately 20,000 square feet of shops are planned for the Marina Village, including a ship store, retail space and restaurant.

Waterway Park offers a playground, fitness trail, fishing, and bird-watching. The St. James' private beach club features a gazebo, old-fashioned boardwalk, swimming pool, showers, changing-rooms and private parking facilities.
